Exploration and Feeling
This piece investigates the transformation of a two-dimensional motif into a dynamic spatial form. By constructing wing-like structures from wire and embedding fragments of mother-of-pearl, I aimed to infuse the surface with tactile and reflective qualities. The process demanded not only technical precision—securing fragile materials with hot-melt adhesive—but also patience in balancing structure with delicacy. What started as a challenging exercise in material manipulation ultimately revealed the potential for combining organic textures with constructed frameworks, foreshadowing my later interest in translating personal perception into sculptural language.
