Creative Encounters Fri Jul 19 2022
This project stems from a deeply personal connection: my younger cousin is a child with autism. Inspired by my own understanding of art as a language of emotion, I began to design and lead open art sessions for children like him. Each class became a space where drawing, colour, and materials offered alternative ways to communicate beyond words.

I prepared diverse art supplies and encouraged the participants to experiment freely, while also engaging with them through attentive listening and shared creation. For me, this process was not only a form of teaching but also an invaluable social practice—an exploration of how art can act as a bridge between inner worlds and collective empathy.

By transforming artistic practice into an inclusive dialogue, the project affirmed my belief that art is not limited to aesthetic expression; it can also nurture healing, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
